About Us

OUR HISTORY

The finest traditions of true community banking have been developed for nearly a century at MidSouth Bank. And while our name took root in 2003 upon the merger of First National Bank of Ashford and Barbour County Bank, our roots have long been established in independent banking.

MidSouth Bank was founded in January 1912, during an era when many community leaders across the nation went about forming banks to meet the needs of local families and business owners who were largely ignored by big-city banks. Opening our doors with just $18,000 in assets and bookkeeping operations being managed by hand-tabulated ledgers, our bank embraced a brand of banking from which we have never wavered:  responsive financial services focused on relationships with our customers. Our staff brings together more than 600 combined years of banking experience.  With locations in Alabama in Ashford, Clayton, Dothan, Eufaula, Auburn and in Panama City, Florida, MidSouth Bank has expanded its footprint and its style of banking throughout the area.

Our slogan of Community Banking... The Way It Should Be! is more than a string of words. It's how we do business and the foundation of our success. It's also a promise to every customer we serve.
